It’s been a joy to be involved in The Wall of Answered Prayer (UK) sharing stories of answered prayer from around the world.
“tell them that the flow of the Jordan was cut off before the ark of the covenant of the Lord. When it crossed the Jordan, the waters of the Jordan were cut off. These stones are to be a memorial to the people of Israel forever.” Joshua 4:7 (NIV)
It’s been a joy to be involved in this project sharing stories of answered prayer from around the world. I share one that stood out for me in this post. I really encourage you to share your own answered prayers by clicking the button at the bottom of the post.
Update (April, 2020) Requesting 10,000 Testimonies
Update (June, 2019)
The location and winning design of The Wall were revealed last year. The Wall will be built near Coles Hill Manor on the outskirts of Birmingham. See image below of the design of The Wall.
In December 2017, I discovered a UK charity called The Wall led by Richard Gamble which will create a national landmark in the UK that tells of God’s goodness to His creation. The landmark will be made of 1 million bricks representing 1 million answered prayers. Also, for the bricks used to create the monument, The Wall will donate 1 million bricks to social housing in the UK which will build approx. 100 houses.
The more I read about this amazing initiative, I became incredibly encouraged by the vision- a physical representation of our invisible God at work in our lives through our answered prayers. I knew I had to be a part of this. I reached out to the team and was connected with Helen who has been so patient with my many questions, sharing more of the vision and updating me on the charity’s progress.
Sharing My Story of Answered Prayer
It was an obvious next step for me to share my story of how God answered one of my prayers and I received my certificate (Brick Number 10792) a few days later 🙂
I was reminded of the passage above in Joshua 4 where God asked the Israelites to create a memorial of what He had done for them at the river Jordan which would be a sign forever. In the same way, this national monument will be a large, tangible monument of what God has done for people around the world. Anyone in any country can submit an answered prayer.
I encourage you to be part of a legacy, let God’s goodness shine through you. Get a brick, share your story or stories of answered prayer and brick by brick we’ll build The Wall!
There will be the facility to go online and find the exact location of your brick and also be encouraged by reading other people’s stories of how God answered their prayers.
Also, a donation is not required in order to submit an answered prayer. However, if you would like to donate to this vision, you can do so here.
Finally, check out The Wall’s Facebook page for updates and read other people’s stories of how God has answered their prayers.
I’m pleased to have the support of friends who are getting their bricks and supporting The Wall. I’d like to thank the following people for being part of the legacy of The Wall:
- Rontee M (Barbados)
- Marjorie (Barbados)
- Belinda & Joel (Australia)
- Shontelle (Barbados)
